New Photos
I have added a bunch of new photos to the album. I'm trying to catch up with the last 6 months. Much has happened. We moved to the house next door after completing mosts (not all!) of the renovations. The living area is a bit bigger and there is a big area seperate from the house that we have set up as an office.
Donnie finally came home from New Jersey just in time to move the big stuff. He has been working still for Bowker full time from here, beaming up to the mother ship in Jersey.
Donnie's father passed away in April. Donnie has posted some wonderful pictures of Don from all around the world. His passing was tragic and unexpected.
My Kundi left us as well after 13 years. She will be missed. She was my wolf spirit and a loyal friend.
There was so much more but I cannot think of it now. Perhaps I'll edit this later when I'm not so tired. Perhaps not. Either way, we are looking forward to a change of energy, a shift of focas for the near future. This fall will bring new and different things and we are looking forward to the change in seasons.

New Addition to the Family
This is Bleu. Our vet introduced me to him 2 days after we lost Kundi. At first I thought the man was mad to do such a thing, but by Friday I had to go back and introduce him to Donnie. We brought him home that day. I think he's staying.

Halloween
I'm a little behind these days. There is alot going on. But I wanted to share this pic of Nina in her first Halloween costume. She was a big hit as Raggity Annie. I think she had a blast. He stayed in character all night as a cuddly little rag doll.

Zen and the Art of the Spoon
Nina is mastering her spoon technique. Although it does not look like it here, she actually gets some in> her mouth.

Nina's First Birthday!!
Nina is ONE. It was a strange birthday as that is the day her daddy had to leave for Jersey, but we tried to make the best of it and headed for the zoo. Nina road the carosel on a horse that went up and down. She was mesmorized by the giant doggies they call elephants, who did tricks for her. But her favorite was playing in the waterfall at monkey hill. Mom even got in with her and they spent the rest of the day walking about the zoo soaking wet, but happy.

The Evacuation - Ivan the Terrible
So for those of you who were wondering, we went to Dallas. We boarded up the house and hit the highway with crossed fingers. Of all of us: Kundi, Trin, Luka, Donnie, Nina and I, I think Trin was most changed by the adventure. With a deep seated fear of riding in cars at the outset, she returned with the grace of a road warrior. She never tried to escape and the once or twice she wandered too far, she came right back when called. I believe she has a little bit of Spatz The Wondercat in her.
All is well.

Grandma's 93rd Birthday
Nina met her great grandma this weekend as well as all her cousins in New Jersey. It is fair to say she had a great time. Check out the pictures of the trip in the photo album.

There is so much going on I don't know where to begin. Much of it is posted at the other site, so go on over there and check it out! At www.solomonstreet.com we have Pixxip up for sale and all the renovation news with recent pictures as well as personal blogs and a neighborhood forum.
We have not given up on CDC, but for now, we are kicking it up at Solomon Street and we can't be in two places at once -- so come on over.

Nina's Day
Miss Nina had her Naming Ceremony / Baptism on Sunday May 30th at the Universalist Unitarian Church of New Orleans. Reverend Guy LaMothe preformed the ceremony for the small group in attendance: Mom, Dad, Grandma Connie, Aunt Jessie, Cousin Cooper and the God Parents Nan Parati and James Roque. Nina screamed through much of the event but it was no less lovely for her vocalizations. Afterwards we went for a lovely lunch at Mandina's and Nina ate some green beans, french fries and sweet potato. Not bad for an eight month old. All in all I think she enjoyed herself immensely.
